Cross Inn, Great Bromley
Formerly the home of Frank Goddard, a British Heavyweight Boxing Champion. A remote country inn, which is an absolute gem, and well worth a visit. A large car park leads to the beer garden, where you will find a couple of friendly Huskies. Upon entering the pub, it resembles someone's front room with a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The landlord, Richard, is a friendly host. Live Folk music can be found here. The pub also has its own Beer Festival. Food is served on certain days. One of the rooms has been converted into a village Post Office.
Wadworth Henry's IPA is a regular, with an alternating Adnams Bitter and Woodfordes Wherry. A development in 2008 saw one room converted into a brewery. This goes by the name of "STICKLEGS". The current range of Sticklegs beers are:
- Malt Shovel Mild
These beers are brewed in small quantities and it is recommended that you phone first to check availability.
