The One and Only Harwich Jubeerlee 2012

At the Kingsway Hall, Dovercourt

Thursday 31st May 19.00 to 23.00
Friday 1st June 11.00 to 23.00
Saturday 2nd June 11.00 to 23.00
30+ different real ales plus 10+ real ciders

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to arrange a beer festival for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Obviously you have to fit in around other CAMRA beer festivals and start the party on that special, double-Bank-Holiday weekend

The team that bring you the Harwich & Dovercourt Bay Winter Ale Festival have accepted the challenge and so for 2 days and 3 nights, in summer for a change, the Kingsway Hall will again become the biggest pub in Harwich to bring you:

The Best of British

We aim to conjour up another eclectic mix of beers and ciders from Great Britain to challenge your taste buds and make you smile. We've not set any particular boundaries for our selection but there won't be a Belgian beer bar so everything will be cask-conditioned real ale, real cider or real perry all made by craftsmen (or craftswomen) in the British Isles.

If you've been to our Winter Ale Festival before you'll know that we pride ourselves on our beer lists and love to deal with producers that are passionate about what they do. We can therefore promise you a very special line-up - perhaps an old favourite or two for the experienced but also something you'll never have tried before.

We're just putting the finishing touches to everything so watch this space for details!

Information for Travellers

The festival is located in the Kingsway Hall in Dovercourt Town Centre. The venue is a large, Victorian Church which dominates the town's skyline. Bus passengers on the 103 and 104 services from Colchester should alight in the Town Centre and walk up Kingsway towards the sea front. Rail passengers should alight at Dovercourt station which is one stop before Harwich Town on the line from Manningtree. Passengers from away will generally need to change trains at Manningtree although there are some direct services from Colchester and London Liverpool Street.
